Well...

    Sorry guys but it's obvious that I am NO good at this blogging stuff! The last time I blogged was... the 2nd?!? Well it's now the 8th! and I'm sorry (: I need more motivation..

   This weekend was kind of an eventful one (for me! again my life is slooooowwww sometimes). It was Griffin's regular. Saturday morning I rolled outta bed and got ready and went to Chattanooga with my mom, mawmaw, Regina, and Chelsea. On our way to Chatt I had to stop and get gas. My sweet sweet fiance texts me and says he's getting gas at Raceway (he was on his way to a family thing at Fall Creek Falls that mom wouldn't let me go to :( ). Well..I look up at the sign and whatdoyasay! I'm standing at Raceway! (: (: (:  (It was just like a movie) So I start walking and looking for him and I see this oh so handsome man wearing a green plaid shirt and some jeans, oh yeah..that's my almosthusband (: I start walking towards him and he sees me.. We pretty much stare into each other's eyes and walk to each other (just like in movies except WE DIDN'T KISS. and it wasn't on the beach. bummer). I can't remember what he said I was too concerned about how stinkin' hot this guy looks! whoa buddy. So then I see the rest of his family and wipe the drool off my face ;) I didn't really but it probably would have been a good idea ;) (I reallllly like plaid shirts! ;)

    So after we visit for a little while, and talk to Lauren and Kyle about why we can't get married right now...(did I REALLY have to wait to be born in 1994? rats.) it's time that I go on my merry way to Chattanooga. without Derrick. missing out on his family reunion/decoration. Maybe next year (:  I get back to my car and realize that I stayed in there for close to 30 mins. just a talkin to my future family (: I love those people! (including you Lauren) (: (:

    We arrived at David's Bridal and Chelsea was my wonderful model and we found a few dresses that we liked. We then went to eat at Amigo's which was fantastic! mmmm! then went to the fabric store. We found a pattern for the girl's dresses (: but no material that i loved :( So we went all the way BACK from where we came from and went to Hobby Lobby! oh dear...hobby lobby again (: i love that store I tell you! There we found a few things for the wedding (on sale whoop whoop!) and got beautiful purple material! YAY! (: i love it. The bridesmaids' dresses are being made and around $100 is being saved! Go Thrifty Bride Named Tristan! (:

    After that...well...I can't remember for sure but I think we went home (: It was near church time so we got ready and went! Derrick got caught in traffic on his way home and couldn't make it back in time. tear. Oh well. I know where his heart was at! (: (Fantasy Football! ;) jk) Church was really good! (: after that I went to a restaurant called Taco Mamacita! with Amber, Brett, Hilary, Mackenzie, Caleb, Alicia, and JMac. I missed Derrick soooooooo bad. Numerous times Brett looked at me and was like "you gotta cheer up!" lol hey i can't help that i love him (: It was pretty good! I had a ton of food left over and I just remembered that I left it in Amber's fridge! whoops. I went back to her house and spent the night. (:

   Sunday morning I woke up early. Went and got a shower and got dresses and went back to bed (: I laid there and texted my honey til it was time for me to get up and get ready (for real) for church. Church was really good that morning! After church we ate and then went to Mackenzie's house and stayed there til time for church. And Derrick came and took communion with me! (: well...not with me...but ya kno! ;) It was sweet (:

    Todayyyyyyyyy was the first day of my senior year! yahhhhhhhhhooooooooo!!!!!!!! (: (: (:

    Ok. I'm collected now. (: It went fairly well. I have english 4 honors.. Bio 2 honors... Gov't and Econ.... and Trig honors. Yippieyaacowboy. Word has spread that I am getting married so there was A LOT of questions today. But I'm kinda used to that (:

    I'm now at home and tuned into Bachelor Pad! (: Hope it's as awesome as I think it'll be. (: Derrick's at practice and I can't wait til he gets home (: I miss every second that I'm not with him or not being able to talk to him. January 6th....can you please hurry your lazy tail up? (: Thanks.

Boy meets Girl (:

   So I'm sitting here racking my brain trying to figure out what I should write about.. Yesterday was pretty boring my friend. I cleaned out our office. Yep, that about covers it. Super fun, I know. Not. BUT today we moved in another desk so I finally have one to myself which is pretty nice so far (:

  Wanna hear the story about Derrick (: that's about all I can come up with right now or even have on my mind (except ideas about our home but you don't wanna hear all that. lol).

  If you ask me about the first time I saw Derrick, honestly I don't remember. I just remember seeing him and thinking he was the finest thing that had ever walked this earth and i loved him (: ok ok not really LOVE but man he surely made my heart feel all warm and cozy (: If you ask him about the first time he saw me, the story will go a little something like this: "We were at Higdon one day and I was sitting in the back with Derek Brown and someone asked her to testify and she started walking up to the alter (she was all the way in the back) and I watched her. I asked Derek who she was and he said he thought she was Whitney's cousin (thats who she was with) and she had just gotten the Holyghost. She was wearing a blue shirt." (: aww. I've heard it so many times I can just about quote it (: he's the sweetest. Well that was July 2008.

  At the time I had a boyfriend. This boyfriend and I had our ups and downs. One day a bunch of us Holiness kids went to Lake Winnie. This was a down day for this boyfriend and I. Well I was walking around with Aly. Derrick and Shaun asked us if we wanted to play mini golf cause it was cheaper if 4 played blah blah blah. (: So we agreed. And I dominated. JK (: i don't remember who won. I just remember that it was FUN. A lot of fun (: and I definitely loved his personality. Later that day when we were getting ready to leave Derrick asked Aly if he could ride back with her so he could get back for Dade's graduation. Well it just so happened that I was riding back with Aly AND I was going to Dade's graduation (: So we rode back to Tiftonia and went to Sonic. Derrick borrowed money from me (I guess he used all his on mini golf.lol) and still has not paid it back (: He reminds me of this every time he tells this story. Well apparently I was ranting to Aly about all the things that were going on in my life right then and a pair of ears was listening in the back seat (: When we got to where my mom was meeting us to get me, and i got out of the car, Derrick told Aly that if he ever got a girl like me he would treat me the way i deserved to be treated. (: love this kid. (: Well Aly told me of course. lol

  Time rocked on and this boyfriend and I split. Derrick and I formed a great friendship. One night I remember, we talked on the phone for 5 hours. 5 HOURS! Solid too. No breaks where we didn't have anything to say. We talked about everything. We laughed. I blushed (: I definitely fell a little harder for him that night.  He was seriously one of my best friends. I could always talk to him about anything. He always knew what to say and would always say something corny that would make me laugh and brighten my day.  We tried to date, but it wasn't the right time. We broke up and I started dating other people that I had on my mind (these guys I had also developed a friendship with and there was always the what if we dated and I had to get rid of that before I could seriously date Derrick (: ) I think he started dating other people too lol but I don't remember... hmmm... I have a bad memory yall.

   We went a little while without talking. He didn't come to my birthday party and that hurt my feelings. lol I still give him junk about that (: Then one day we just started talking again. We picked up right where we left off. By this time I had dated others and knew that I really liked Derrick (: there was just something about him that I couldn't get off my mind.  We were still best friends. (: We always had something to talk about and he always kept me laughing.

  On March 19, we all went to Red Robin for a reason I can't remember right now... (bad memory i'm tellin ya) and the whole week he had been telling me that there was something he wanted to ask me but he wanted to wait til we were in person. I knew he was gonna ask me to be his girlyfriend (: Well we get there. eat. ride back. NOTHING. Whats going on?!?!?! I thought he was gonna ask me to be his girlfriend?? Well they drop me off at my house and instantly he starts texting me (: lol Well when he finally gets to his truck (we rode up there and back with blake and april (: ) he is texting me (while driving. uh oh. ) and says will you go out with me? i then say where? haha (: so he calls me and is like "Tristan! Will you be my girlfriend!?!?" (: Oh of course I say YES! (:

  May 14 was Brit Lo's Luau (: Derrick, Broshia, and I went together. On the way back Derrick was acting kinda funny (: He started the whole thing again about wanting to tell me something but wanted it to be in person...Well we get there and have fun then head back. Well my car was parked at Stevenson church so when we get there We both get out and he walks me to my car. We're standing there and he has to door open and is kinda leaning on it and looks me in the eyes and tells me he love me (: it was amazing (: I know i know, 2 months later?? Soon I know. But when you know you know (: I loved him so much. I loved everything about him. (: It was definitely the best I love you in history (:

  Derrick got a new job in Trenton. He worked ALL THE TIME. The only time I got to see him during the week was on friday if I went to eat with him on his lunch break. This Friday night was April 14 and I was going to Trenton's singing but going to meet him and eat with him first (: When trying to figure out what to eat he says he just wants fast food. So I go and get him Taco Bell. He tells me to meet him in Lalito's parking lot. ok? So i go. He's late. I call him to see where he's at and he's like i'm runnin late. gotta go. and hangs up. wow.  Ok. So i wait. then he calls me and tells me to pull around the square that he's parked over there. So I do and I see his truck. When I get out of the car he tells me I'm beautiful and to close my eyes. ok? So I do. He begs me not to peek (he knows me so well).  He takes me by my arm (not hand people!) and leads me all the time telling me to trust him, he has me, blah blah (: well finally we reach our destination. My eyes are still closed at this point and he starts telling me all this sweet stuff that i'm sure yall don't wanna hear (: he tells me to open my eyes and when i do I see this HUGE bouquet of my favorite flowers (: he said he picked them out himself. lol (: Then he tells me there's something else (: i tell him no. he tells me yes (: lol  So he gets down on one knee and asks me to be his wife (: (: (: (: (: He puts the ring on my finger and the first thing that comes outta my mouth is "Did you tell your mom your doing this?!?" He said "no.." and i told him to call her and tell her. lol So as he does that i'm taking pics and sending pics to people and calling them. Then we go back to his truck to eat. Then it hits me. I said "did I ever tell you yes???" He smiled and said "no" (: I gladly told him yes (:

  4 months later and i'm the happiest girl in the world. We're planning our wedding for Jan 6th. We hope everyone will come enjoy that day with us (:

Hello Everyone (:

Well here it goes (:

  I've been sucked into the world of blogging, now lets see if I can stick with it. ;) I'll start with a post about this weekend. It was about the same as every weekend here lately (: which I am totally ok with! It consisted of church. sleep. church. eat. church. (:

  Friday I went to Hixson to look for dresses for my 5 bridesmaids. I found some cute dresses but with them not being there and not being able to try them on and us see them on, I came home without a dress. BUT I headed over to hobby lobby <3 ohhh how I love this store! (especially since I now have a home to decorate!!! so if any one is reading this and is planning on getting us a housewarming present, a hobby lobby giftcard is the way to go! (: ) Mom was with me so I showed her some things I looooove and she put them on the list to get me for my shower. She even got about a few of the things that day cause they were on sale. (thanks mom.) Then we headed over to the mall. JCP was having a pretty good sale and I had coupons so I shopped my heart out ;) Belk was ALSO having a GREAT sale! I picked up a maxi dress for $7.50! Made me happy (: Well, after shopping I came home. Mom was earlier in a bad mood and told me Derrick couldn't come over that night. joy. So I spent the evening at home. I went to bed pretty early but i do that almost every night now. (i'm getting old I tell you)

  Saturday I went to Lowe's and got our flooring for our home! yay! One step closer to getting that lil baby finished! Then it was church time. (: At Stevenson (: oh how i love that place! Church was so so so good! The word came and it was amazing. People were getting telling great testimonies and getting wonderful blessings.. then the Lord looked down on me and poured me out a blessing (: it was great I tell you, great! Definitely the highlight of my week. Nope. Scratch that. Highlight of my month (: After church Derrick and his family cleaned and got things ready for the morning and I stayed in the church and baby sat a 5 month old and 4 kids! haha (: I love kids. After their parents got back Derrick, Stew, and I went over to Sis Janice & Bro Duane's house and ate some marvelous tacos!!! (: Derrick told all the ladies that were there the story of how he asked me to be his wife (: I'm sure you guys will hear that story some day (: Then after about an hour of eating and laughing we decided to head home. (:

   This weekend was regular meeting at Stevenson (: (my favorite weekend!) So Sunday morning there was actually a crowd! lol Church was soooo good! The word came again and it was equally amazing as the night before (: Then! Jamie got the holyghost!!!! Ahhhh!!! (: it was so great! Then we ate. Then we were already having a babatizing (as Makenah calls it (: what a cutie!) for sister Cindy so they "babatized" SISTER Jamie as well (: it was really good. Then I was off to Griffin... Church was good (: then we went to grab some Mickey D's then headed home.
 
   Well that's about it folks. It may not seem near as eventful and exciting as some people's weekend post, but it's perfect for me (: Getting to go to church and spend time with Derrick is the most perfect weekend I could ask for (:
